About cookies and browser storage
AUTOLIST uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies to operate the website, remember your preferences, and—with your permission—understand how visitors use our vehicle information and comparison tools.
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We also use localStorage, which can remain after you close your browser, and sessionStorage, which normally lasts for the current browser tab’s session.
Essential functions and saved preferences
We store your cookie choice so that we can respect your settings. We also save your selected language, display theme, vehicle comparison selections, and finance calculator inputs to support the features you use.
These browser settings do not have an automatic time-based expiry in our current implementation. They remain until they are changed, cleared by you or your browser, or removed by the website. Selecting necessary-only does not clear your saved comparison or calculator settings.
Restricted administration areas use authentication technologies to verify authorised users. The AUTOLIST administrator session cookie expires after eight hours or is removed when the administrator signs out.
Optional analytics
Our browser analytics recording starts only after you allow analytics. It helps us understand page visits, vehicle and trim views, comparison activity, sharing and PDF requests, and clicks on website links and buttons.
Depending on the feature, analytics may include event identifiers, timestamps, page routes, vehicle and trim identifiers, selected sharing channels, browser and device categories, and finance calculator values. Our central analytics records finance values in price and down-payment ranges, while browser-local history may contain the exact calculator values recorded by that feature.
Referral records identify recognised sources such as Google, Bing or ChatGPT, the landing path and the time of the visit. They do not store the full referring URL or its query string.
The analytics event fields reviewed do not request names, email addresses, phone numbers, or precise location. This does not mean that all website processing is anonymous: visitor identifiers, authentication information, and technical request information may relate to a person or device.

A cookie’s expiry is not the retention period for server records. The current AUTOLIST application does not implement automatic time-based expiry for analytics records already received by our server. Turning analytics off does not automatically delete those records.
Your choices
Select Accept to allow analytics. Select Settings, leave analytics switched off, and select Save settings to use necessary-only.
You can change your choice through Cookie settings in the website footer. Saving necessary-only disables subsequent analytics recording by our browser scripts and attempts to clear their local histories and session markers and remove the analytics visitor cookie. Requests already sent may still be processed.
Withdrawing consent does not automatically delete analytics records already received by our server. It also does not remove essential authentication cookies or saved functional settings.
You can additionally delete cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. Doing so may reset your preferences or sign you out. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice may not be retained.
Website delivery and security
Cloudflare delivers and helps protect AUTOLIST. Website delivery and security services may process technical request information, including IP addresses and user-agent information. Restricted administration areas may also use Cloudflare Access authentication. These services operate separately from our optional browser analytics.
